301A and FMQ
I have had a Singer 301A for a couple years now. I had it serviced a couple years ago and never really did use it much. After reading about ( and looking) at all the beautiful quilts done on vintage/antique machines, I decided to give mine a try.
I am thrilled to report that it does a great job!!! I just need to make some practice sandwiches and get to work. Such pretty and even stitches. It puts my computerized machine to shame. I just need to fill lots of bobbins because they don't hold very much thread.

I bought a darning/fmq foot from April's 1930s shop (online) when I first got my machine. It is a big and plastic. I was lucky and didn't have to remove anything to install the foot.
