I have a purple one (My avatar). I wish I knew who had done the paint job. I bought it through a Portland craigslist ad but the seller had moved from living with her mom in Texas to living with Dad in Portland to go to school. In the case was a repair tag from a sewing machine shop in Houston. It's likely the FW was bought from a vendor at the Houston Quilt show. Judging by the rough condition of the case, the machine was probably cosmetically challenged before painting so I don't think it was a bad thing to paint it. Besides the purple color makes me smile.
