Just since yesterday Painiacs! But yes...I think I've met the machine I'm going to marry!! ;)
This guy's (gal's) dates are a bit off tho...the serial number for my machine shows on his list as 1928...but I just called White (800-446-2333) and they tell me that she was made on July 18, 1912 in Cleveland, OH

Ok...so the guy's dates are still off, but better than what I was told yesterday!
They gave me the wrong date when I called! I knew that from this list, and what I had found elsewhere that these machines were dated 1928...and it seemed odd to me that the machine would have been made in 1912 with the motor being patented in 1927. Aftermarket maybe? No....didn't think so...seems to be intregal part of the machine, with the way the bobbin winder works. So I called back this morning and questioned her again. (Got the same very nice lady)
She apologised...and told me my machine was made in 1934 in Cleveland.
I feel better now! It bugged me all afternoon yesterday!

Popping in to make a comment about how long you've been dating, only to see I've been beaten to the punch! Clearly I need to be more on top of these things.
Anyhow, that's really neat! How interesting, having a machine that old.
