Default Do you know anything about the White Sewing Machine Model 1927

I just bought this little sewing machine from the Goodwill website for about $50.00. I thought it would be a nice one to take to workshops, retreats etc. instead of my heavy old Janome 6600. Just plugged it in, got it threaded and it sews so smoothly.

Does anyone know when this model was manufactured or where I can find feet for it? I was also wondering if the walking foot I had bought for a machine I traded in would work on it. It was purchased to use with a Janome 3160; The Quilter's Dream.

It was immaculately clean, came with some simple attachments, a few bobbins and the manual. I think I got a good deal in it???? What do you think?

I don't think this is a vintage machine. Good luck finding info.

Not positive, but I believe Husqvarna acquired White? Might give Husqvarna a call at 1-800-446-2333 and see if they can give you more info?

Free arm means that the flat bed comes off the machine to make a narrow bed to make it easier to do things like sleeves and cuffs.

Looks like what they were selling in the late 80s and early 90s - I could be wrong.

You got a good deal, I have a White dressmaker, which I purchased in July 1968. It is a real workhorse. I have spent thousands of hours sitting at my "baby" and it still is sewing perfectly.
