Does anyone know anything about a White Straight Stitcher?

It looks like it has a large throat space and would be good for quilting, but perhaps I'm wrong. Just curious at this point. Thanks for any info.

It's an interesting machine that's for sure. I've bought similar type machines that work great, but never had the chance to mess with one of these.
To bad your not in MA you could check it out personally before you paid the money.

The throat space is not any larger than the typical vintage White machine, I don't believe. I think the photo is a bit skewed. I have a straight stitch White and they're nice machines. Though, I wouldn't pay $100 for one that's not working!

No, I wasn't interested in buying it - just curious about it. If the throat space isn't any larger than a normal sewing machine, then it is less interesting to me. Of course, I bought a Juki TL2010 last year which does have a larger throat space, so maybe I shouldn't be looking!

Reread the sale ... completely. It says the machine, along with two others was stored in a climate controlled are for a long time and is mint, no wear, no dirt, nothing wrong. He only listed it as a parts machine because he had not tested it and could not verify it worked.
He also said it was threaded up and ready to use. By looking at his pics and the hodge podge mess the thread is in, he doesn't know a sewing machine from a can opener.
I wouldn't condemn the machine because of what he said about it. He's simply covering his own ... 'er behind for liability purposes. Seen this many times on GW. They too have no idea of how to use a sewing machine so they list them as parts or repair when they are perfectly good machines.
