Default Where to sell one of my Featherweights

I will admit I am a sewing machine hoarder. There that is off my chest. Has anybody ever sold one? I just looked around and between the 2 other Featherweigts, the Jaonme, the Brother, the Bernina, and the old Singer in the cabinet, I need to clean house. I don't want to ship it. That would be upsetting to me. LOL

Check with your local 4H extension office, or ask if there is someone in the community who helps kids or adults learn to sew.

There are several on craigslist in the various areas I'm willing to travel. I have one; don't need another. The ones listed in this area are ranging from about $250 to $450. Most seem to go quickly - at least the ads are deleted relatively quickly for the lower-priced ones.

I've posted one of mine on CL as well as an 301 and all I got was an offer to buy at an low price when
I already was selling at fair low price!! Try it though as well as a quilting guild in your area? My area apparently
Doesn't have many sewer or they're into the newest high tech machines.

You can sell on eBay saying that is has to be picked up. There is your local quilt store or quilting guild.

I was told by the guy that runs the local sewing machine repair shop that he sells certain machines on consignment when i took mine in for servicing. When he found out what I paid for mine he said it was cheaper than what he was able to get.

A lot depends on what you expect to get for it. Some quilt shops have bulletin boards you can post your machine for sale since it is mostly quilters that want them.

Try selling it on CL, it has worked for me with other machines.

Where in eastern Tennessee are you? How much are you asking? My mom has been looking for a featherweight, and may be interested if you still have it for sale. Thanks!
