Default Early Christmas Surprise

Knock! Knock! Knock! An old friend was at my door two nights ago and brought me the best early Christmas present I've ever received! She and her husband and daughter unloaded a 1927 Singer treadle sewing machine..........in working condition! All my new baby needs is a good cleaning and a belt, and I'm ready to set out on a new adventure. Her name is Betty...........same as my 85 year old mother. I haven't quit smiling yet. Now the real dilema...........I already have a 1908/09 Red Eye (machine only), that would fit perfectly in the cabinet..........which shall I use?

Can the ladies take turns in the cabinet until you get another cabinet?

I would leave my friends gift as is and be looking for another cabinet. Don't do anything to lessen the joy they have from giving you such a wonderful gift that they thought would make you so happy.

Sounds like fun decisions to make. You can play with both machines in the cabinet and decide from there.

What a wonderful gift. Everytime you look at her or sew with her, you'll smile.
