Gorgeous - you are doing a great job! Question: are the pictures under the machines from a calendar? Or some other publication? They look fascinating.

You have done a terrific job of displaying your collection and making yourself a great work space with good lighting! I am envious as I am still using "stolen" space in the dining room, garage and a corner of a bedroom where the lighting is less than desirable. I'm hoping that this summer I will be able to start to claim a bit of the basement for my own organized work/storage area.

The SM's pictured are fabric cut from panels and are found on line at Carolina Cotton, but others are available also. I used a very light weight plywood and primed it with clear WB polyurethane. Then I applied a spray fabric adhesive and applied the cloth in 3 frame sections just smoothing by hand. If I were to do it again, I would apply one frame at a time making application much easier.

Love the way you've displayed your machines. I have to admit my first thought was: oh my, that's a lot of dusting to do every week!

Pam,

That aspect of the project was well thought out in advance. Instead of out sourcing cleaning, I realized that I already had in house services available negating duplication of services and finance charges. I married her 39 very happy yrs. ago.

Looking at your display shelf not only is it a wonderful display of machines but I love the hidden work light for the machines in tables underneath. I need to figure out and do that in my class room that we are working on right now.
