Default Featherweight 221

I just bought 2 of the featherweights this week. I cannot wait to start sewing with them. They are in perfect shape. I am so excited.

Nice! What colors? They can be a little fussy with the bobbin - you have to get it in just right. I use mine frequently for piecing away from home.

Congratulations on your FW's! Please Post Pictures -- If we don't get a picture posted, it didn't happen! LOL!

I think they are adorable and fun to sew on. I lucked into two over the years. Long time in coming.

I had 3 of them at one time. Gifted one to a friend. One of my others needs some work but it will wait until after the 1st of the new year. I use my working one mostly for piecing unless my 301 or 15 is already being used. Sometimes my daughter will use the FW for piecing too. She likes that its lightweight compared to most of my other machines.

Congrats. Are they both 221's? I have a 221, a 222, and a 301a as well as a 99k (she needs work).

The 301 isn't a Featherweight; it's a full-size machine but still nice and light because of its aluminum construction. The 99 is a 3/4-size machine but, as it's built of iron, it's considerably heavier.
