Good to know it is a good class!

DH & I were in Houghton Lake & Tawas last month for a get-away. Very pretty area! We stopped at the Cotton Patch, I think it was.

I have never been to AJ's as I always go to Susies. I just picked up a Country Register for May and June and AJ's has a nice ad. I will definitely go there next time we are up north. Where is Carolines?

I love Tawas, I grew up in Bay City and spent many summer days there!

Where is the Cotton Patch? I have not ventured to West Branch farther than the Prime Outlets. I have visited the Icehouse Quilt Shop in Grayling and they have tons of stuff. I guess W. Branch quilt shops will be a definite destination for me this summer!

How cool was that class. Sure wish we had one here. I'm Librarian of our Quilt Guild and when I go to the next meeting I'm going to ask if we can start a FW cottage group. Sure hope I get a response. These are great little machines for toting around.I have a Janome 6600 and hate taking it out of the house. It doesn't like to travel and usually have to have something adjusted.

Linda, is there a nice quilt shop in Tawas or nearby? My SIL lives in AuGres and we're going there this summer. I'd love to drop in on some quilt shops while we're there.

I will be going to HL after work today and taking my husband's grandmother's antique Singer (in the cabinet) to Susies so Bob can replace the belt and make it work again. It is a treadle and I asked him to convert it to an electric but after thinking it over, I would like to see if I can sew with the treadle! I have my featherwt packed and am planning to start a new quilt top! The weather looks pretty good for May 1st!
