Do you have the book for it? I just had mine all apart to clean it and found the needle was bent, so I changed it. After I got it back together it wouldn't sew. It wouldn't pull the bobbin thread up. Got out the book and I had put the needle in the right way for another one of my machines. Have the flat side of the shank towards the left and put the needle into the clamp as far as it will go. Then tighten the thumb screw. Thread from right to left.

Quick question- I have a black and a white FW that need belts. Wanted to pass them along to their new homes this weekend but there are no FW belts available unless I mail order. Can I substitute the generic one size fits most rubber belts found at JoAnns, at least temporarily?

I now have a really crummy FW - goes way too slow for an industrial machine addict

My FW 221 makes a humming noise when I plug it in. Is this normal for this machine?

It likely needs to be rewired.

I just found a Featherweight card table (with the pop out to lower the machine into) for $20.00!!!!!! I've almost given up hope; I absolutely love it and it just needs cleaning up

Awesome deals are still out there occasionally. I found a FW cabinet a couple weeks ago for $25, over the moon at this one I never thought I'd find.
