Maybe someone with more knowledge about electricity can explain it better than I can but U.S. electrical current and Canadian electrical current are not the same. I can't remember if I needed a "step up" or a "step down" converter. The one that I purchased (from ebay) was both.
US and Canadian current are the same, must have come from across the waters , England or E. Too bad they didn't post that on listing.
