Chris_quilts and I helped introduce a herd of kids and their adults guides into vintage stitching on Thursday. She is so good with the kids and doesn't get rattled easy. I was learning kid skills from her as we guided little hands on my handcrank 99s Great fun, but I was exhausted after 7 hours. It's a good thing the bathroom were close, because when either of us left the post we got bigger crowds.

Late in the day I had a chance to grab the camera.

You never know what impact you will have on young lives. There may be a future project runway designer in that bunch.

I totally can relate to your exhaustion, lol! But these kids will always remember this experience. Thank you for making the extra sacrifice to share a little bit of history with them.

It was a history and environment day at the Kansas Historical Museum. Most of the folks there were commercial talking about their parts in protecting the environment. Not much hands on. The bikes in the background were tied to generators and light bulbs so they kids could pedal to make light. Local zoo had an exhibit beside us. Their theme was don't kill endangered critters for fashion. Chris is ready to do it next year, me too.
