Could it be a machine 'badged' for Marshall Field stores? It's very interesting. Will be beautiful for someone willing to do all the cleanup/restoration.

It's built by National I think. You could look at pics on Needlebar or ISMACS to find one like it.

If you are looking to buy it, make sure it has the shuttle and at least one bobbin.

If that is a lamp tied on at the leaf tension area it looks like it would just give you shadow at the needle.

This is an early National machine. Refered to as the VB-TT type 4 on Needlebar's site.

Hello! I have the same sewing machine and I am having trouble finding out more information about it! Were you able to learn much more about this sewing maching?

Welcome, quinnorr. jlamere hasn't been on for a couple of years. It is unknown if the machine was gotten or not.

Fortunately, the Needlebar link that Macybaby posted is still there. I also found a facebook page that tells about National badged machines.

quinorr, Welcome to the board. Since you are a rookie here I will tell you it is a vibrating shuttle machine with leaf tension. You may already know that.

Welcome to the QB from SE Michigan! It is great to have you join us here on the QB! I don't know a thing about this machine one thing however I have been learning about various machines as I read on this forum. There are a lot of knowledgeable people here that share everyday about different machines and I see that there is already discussion about this one. Again welcome to the QB I hope to see a lot of you here.
