At least I feel like I got a great deal.. and if I didn't, well, I still think I did anyway! :-D

I've been looking for a nice-nice Singer 185J in the original case..
(I don't know why.. this machine just TALKS to me!)
...and a Singer hand crank.

Well.. I can mark the second off my list.

I downloaded a Craigslist notification app on my android phone so that I could keep an eye out on posts.
I'd missed out on a great machine awhile back and figured out the game!

This 1922 Singer model 99 with bentwood case, key and original manual was posted on Craigslist
...and within 30 minutes of it having posted, it was all mine for $80. :)

I haven't done anything to her yet..
However, I can imagine I'll be sitting in Billy's Vintage Lounge surfing through all the info to get her cleaned up. :)

OH, what a find! I'm happy for you. I've looked at hand-cranked for the times when our electricity is out, but ended up with a treadle because my feet are stronger than my arthritic hands.
Have fun with your new toy, & I hope you find your other dream machine soon as well.

Congrat! Very nice find and good price! From your photo, it looks like your machine doesn't even need to be cleaned up.
Have fun with your new vintage machine!
