I bought a Franklin treadle about 12 years ago but have never used it. Did some research and found info on ismacs.net (international sewing machine collectors society). It looks just like Granny67's machine but the decals are faded. Anyway, ismacs said the Franklin was manufactured by Domestic Sewing Machine Co of Buffalo, NY in 1911. It was almost an exact copy of the Singer 27/127. "The Franklin was decorated with Egyptian styled decalcomania, clearly in imitation of Singer's beautiful Memphis decoration theme". I believe they were sold through Sears.
