Can someone tell me what this machine was used for? Wife and I are curious about it. No intention of making a road trip to buy it, but we'd like to know what it sewed.

I think it sews leather................
That's a very odd looking beastie, it sorta looks like it had a baby.
It was probably used to repair leather shoes.

Looks like it was used to sole and half sole shoes in a shoeshop. That is a great price. Usually $300. Ask Steve, he has one somewhat like it.

To anyone still wondering about this machine, I've called a company I Googled that knows about them. The very nice gentleman said that this was an "automatic" machine. He gave me a number for it, but it wasn't any number GW showed in the auction info. It only sews what you put a cam in for. (The cam receiptical is below the wheel on the side.) He believes this one sews the bottom of drapes/curtains.
I was thinking of purchasing it since I could pick it up, but not anymore. Too bad.
