1930's Kenmore Long Shuttle Sewing Machine. $60.00. WORKS! Has cabinet, attachments, and instruction manuel!

I have the opportunity to buy this machine but do not know if this is a good machine/good deal. The pictures she posted show the machine and the cabinet in great shape. Your feedback is greatly appreciated!

Try going to the vintage sewing machine topic and someone should be able to help you with this.

Try googling the name and see what comes up, I don't know anything about it. Being that old it should be a good one.
If you want it then, I would buy it.

Wow, I am not an expert, but it sounds great especially since it still has all the attachments and the book, so I would think it was well taken care of!

I need photos and the serial number and model number if possible then I can maybe help you with the machine. Some folks do not have any idea as to what the year of machine but I can find out from the numbers for you.

Here is the link from Craigslist that shows the pictures, but the pics are not the best. I spoke with the woman and told her I want it, but I wanted to make sure it was worth the money. Thanks for your help!

Sounds like a good deal to me, but I'm no expert.

Those machines were available all the way into the mid 60's. I have a 1963 Sears catalog that has that machine in it, I will have to see what they were asking for it back then just for kicks and giggles.

But the cabinet looks early to mid 50's judging from what I can tell and I know a cabinet like that brand new was around $69 to $89 back in the day.

Is it worth it yes I think so but I do not think it is in the years that they are depicting it.

I'm not an expert but if it works it would be worth $60 to me. I love those old workhorses.
