Default Is this a good deal?

Pretty White sewing machine. I dont know anything about it. Does anyone know if this is a zigzag machine? Is this worth the money?

Yes, it is a ZZ machine. I can tell by the pics it needs a thorough cleaning, but that's no big deal.
It's a Japanese made machine very similar to many others have here. I have several similar to it, and all but one sews beautifully. The one that doesn't will eventually.

Is it worth the money? Well, I think it is, not only for the machine, but that cabinet too. I'd still do my best to bring it down some. I've paid more for some machines but I wanted them bad. So, that's the crux of the mater, how bad would you like to have it?

you should check it out- see what kind of shape the machine is in- has it been taken care of? the wiring good? does it have a belt? if so- is it in good shape-not cracked/worn? the foot pedal/ cord in good shape? does it sew a nice even stitch? any attachments with it? how about a manual?
what kind of shape is the cabinet in? sturdy? hinges good? machine shelf secure/strong?
if it passes inspection & you like it- it is probably a good deal-

It was his mother in-laws and it hasn't been used in 2 years. That's what he said anyway. I don't think he knows much about it.

If he tips the machine back out of the table, there's likely some sort of model or number at the base of the machine.

I would pay that for it unless I could talk him down. Whites are very good machines. The desk alone is worth at least 25.
