feather weight

I need to know if they take special singer needle? I put in a reg singer needle and it makes a funny noise when I run it

They do not take a special needle. Check your manual for a picture on inserting the needle. It should be put in so that it can be threaded from right to left.

Regular needles - I use Schmetz. Needle goes in with the flat side to the LEFT (remember "NFL") and is threaded from right to left.

Does it make the same funny noise when you remove the needle and run it without a needle?
