Default hand crank

Found a very pretty hand crank on Craigslist. Going to look at it tomorrow. It looks pretty clean, and she says it sews well. She is asking $135 which seem sorta high to me. What do you think? Thanks, Linda

It does seem high. Sometimes people think vintage means big $$. It might be her starting point, expecting to come down in price.

The monetary exchange is based on the desire to take possession.

Best,

I had agreed to buy a 99K hand crank from a guy on Craigslist. I got him to go down to $100 from $150. The night before I was to go down and pick it up, I call him, only to have him text me back that it had been sold for the full asking price. I was devastated! If it is a machine you LOVE, don't let a few $$ get in the way of you getting the machine. The time, energy, and money spent to look for another one has a cost as well. I did find one on ebay for $120 (including shipping) but it took hours of searching and combing craigslist, ebay, and shopgoodwill to find it. I could have been sewing instead! LOL!

Weeee!! I bought her. She is very pretty; I just love her. And she runs very smooth. The lady is on Quilting Board and knew so much about machines.....I would loved to have sat with a pot of tea and picked her brain. Thank all of you for your input. Linda
