Happy birthday to me!!!!
Happy Sewing Birthday, that is.
Well, happy Sewing Machine Birthday.
Or Happy Sewing Machine Adoption Anniversary...
One year ago, I was the brand new owner of the Great Blue White you see in my avatar, and also two weeks away from acquiring my Green Girl 1957 Elna. So I do declare, IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!! :-)
I have had such fun collecting machines, tinkering, and even, gasp, sewing!!!! I am way behind on my tinkering; life got very busy and I have several machines which are partially done. Sigh.
Isn't it a fun thing we all share? I have spent less on my 12 (!) machines than most people spend on an iPhone. And these machines have kept my thumbs far busier than an iPhone ever could...

Happy Birthday Cecilia! I've gotten a lot of enjoyment out of this site and old sewing machines since I joined last fall. I'm having more fun playing with these old girls than I ever expected.
Does that mean my birthday here is in the fall?

Happy birthday. Yes, we know how to have fun on a budget when we find this group. So much knowledge and know how passed along just for the asking. I, too, know for the number of old machines acquired, I've spent a total that would be far less than going out and buying a new "state of the art" sewing / quilting machine.

Happy, Happy Birthday, Cecilia. I've been buying myself a birthday gift for many years. It's great. I get what I want and that makes me so happy. So, enjoy your day..... find the perfect gift (maybe you've done that already).... and relax in the fact that age brings wisdom..... You go, you wise gal.

LOL, my present is NO MORE SEWING MACHINES until I fix the ones I have!!! :-)
One day, far away, a Pink Atlas. And a green 201. But for now? Must. Get. Rid. Of. Machines.
So, how long has everyone else here been "collecting"?
p.s. Mrs SewandSew, I do love your avatar machine! Is that the one you were tinkering on a while back? Is it working well now?
