There is a Century treadle machine listed on my local CL. I talked to the seller tonight and she gave me the SN857553. Does anyone know about this brand? Said it takes a bullet type bobbin which is missing. She also said all the decals were nice and the cabinet was oak. Just trying to find out info before go see it tomorrow nite.

Might be a good idea to do a search for the shuttle bobbin before commiting to the machine? If you can't find a bobbin it could still be use for a decorative item but ask for a reduced price?

I have looked at a parts site and believe they carry the shuttle bobbin but I'm checking more. I had to reschedule going to see it till Thursday because it was a "feel bad' day for me. :(

But she is going to take pics and email them to me tomorrow.
