Help to Identify Singer TopHat Cams

Help to Identify Singer TopHat Cams
In with the machine I purchased were tophat cams 101,102,104,106,107,108,109 and 111. 101,106,108,111 have a concave surface. All have the numbers and design printed in gold. I also have needle plates 546224, 542396 and 540101. All have a closed hole and a U shaped opening for attachment to the machine. I wanted to make these available to the members of my Homemaker groups as I don't need them for my 403. I have Googled and searched on other Singer groups, blogs, information sites, ebay, craigslist and cannot find the information. I have to have the machine number to do a search LOL I hope that you can send me in the right direction. Thank you in advance for any help.

Hi Tizzy,
Singer made a few different types of cams, not all of them are called 'top hat' cams. I've attached a list of the Singer black Top Hat cams. The cam numbers you listed are not ones I'm familier with, especially not with designs printed in gold on them. ??? Can you post a picture of what you are talking about? Perhaps we can help you out then. It's possible they aren't Singer cams, even though you found them in with your purchased 403. Others may know more...

I'm not sure which machines these would go with, but the designs match some of the designs that came out with the 700 series of Touch & Sew machines - the first ones that could include reverse stitches in the sequence.
The ones made for the T&S machines were white - they look like the black "top hat" cams that fit 400, 500, 600 & 700 series machines, but they have an additional guide track on the bottom of the disk to direct forward and reverse.

The white cams that look like top hats (but really are not the same) are Flexi cams. Later machines.
There were some really funky machines that Singer made with different cams, much later... up into the 70's and even 80's... but so far, haven't been able to find an exact match. Been tryin! There was a needleplate on ebay for sale (with one of the needleplate numbers) thought maybe that might give a clue. But the seller had no idea what machine it came from. And the singer site doesn't allow you to search simply by part number. You have to know the machine first. Judging by the higher part number, those odd cams are from a later machine than the 600's or 700 series.
