This cast iron machine says Singer Super Built. The cabinet it's in is factory stamped Jan 17 1967. There's no model number anywhere on the machine so I'm guessing the little plate it was on fell off at some point. Can anyone help me? I'd like to look up the owner's manual on Singer's website but I can't without a model #! :-( Thanks for any help I can get!

The model number is on that stamped plate in front of the pillar on the machine bed. It looks like a long oval or a round rectangle with a couple letters and several numbers. Its directly under the stitch length lever.

There's a place for the model # plate but the plate itself is missing.

1. looks like a WW2 era "refurbish" done by dealers
2. there may still be numbers under the "paint"
3. it has a "revco reverser" add on (neat!!) (Kinda turns a 66 into a 99)

@SteveH is there a way to remove the paint from that spot without damaging anything?

I hate to think of what they may have covered up.

There is a painted over plate on the front behind the reverser! I don't think I can remove the paint without damaging it though.

I would only remove the paint from the serial number but I would cover it back with a clear coat to protect it. The other is the Singer Badge.
