Really is cute...if you just want to use it as a decoration...sure...why not, but if you really want to use it, I would test it out and see just how hard it is to use. Depends on if you have the extra $50.

Buy It. I have one of these, my Mom bought in for me at a sale. It is on a shelf, behind glass. Everytime I see it, I think of her.

Even if it doesn't work well, It will be worth more than the $50. Besides it makes a cute decoration for your sewing room.
