Help with old Dressmaker sewing machine

Default Help with old Dressmaker sewing machine

I have an old dressmaker sewing machine model 301 serial 368706 its has a sticker that says Allyn International Necchi-Aico importers and destributors. It worked great untill my husband touched it everything lights up but it wont sew my granny said its just the pedal my problem is I cant find anything on this machine and I dont want to order a part that wont work with my machine. Any info will be appreciated! Thanks.

[ATTACH=CONFIG]296822[/ATTACH]Try doing a search on just "Necchi". I have a beautiful little Necchi & she can be temperamental!

Double check that the foot pedal is plugged in all of the way. Also as you probably have learned already NEVER LET THE HUSBAND TOUCH ANYTHING SEWING RELATED ESPECIALLY YOUR MACHINE(S). But the other post is also a good idea about searching the internet with just the word or words necchi sewing machine trouble shooting. If you have an owners manual check that the bobbin winder is not engaged and that the stitch length is set at normal.
