Default Here's my awesome thrift store find this week....

I'm kind excited about this one. I found a beautiful red Viking Husqvarna 5710 at a thrift store for $10. It was neatly packed in it's case with the table/pedal/additional feet/tools/needles and everything. It was clean as a pin on the inside like it was never used. I oiled it up and changed the needle and it's perfect. My googling tells me late 70's/early 80's. Anybody know for sure?

Balances out with the Singer 750 (? hard to tell) that I bought for $8 that I think is past the kind of help I can give it. So I'll just consider this an $18 machine.

Ooooohhh, it's a beauty. I don't know anything about that brand, but they have had a good reputation over the years. I really love the color of this machine. It looks brand new.

Oh Geez! If I saw that beauty i know it would have not have left my hands until we got to the car. Even then I'm sure i would have buckled it up next to me in the passenger seat. Congrats! She's a beauty!

I had a Viking red machine--can't remember the # but it had lots of cams. I loved that machine. The tension on it was beautiful. I wore it out and was costing me more to replace the clutch than what it was worth. You have a deal!! I bought mine in 1981.
