How can I tell age of white featherweight?

You need to locate the serial number, which should be stamped underneath the machine. On my black FW, It was underneath the left side of the machine, towards the fold up extension. Not sure if it the same place on a white FW. Once you have the serial #, you can look up the age from here:

I think you have a 221K7 Jane, I'm assuming because it's white and made in Kilbowie, Scotland (the only whites as far as I know). They were the last Featherweights made, a few years in the 1960s according to the general info. It's a very lucky find, it often takes years to get hold of a white one. I have taken a liking to the black with gold decals, and decored chromed plates, sort of art nouveau ebossed pattern. I think there were a light beige one too.

well my serial number is PA097470. Not sure if the A is an A. It looks like an A without the bar across it. More like an arrow pointing up. I'm just not sure. either way, I cant find it in the data base.

There might be one more chance from this list of Kilbowie made Featherweights. If you look closer, could the PA be an FA? It look like the came as far as F, and no further. If so, yours are of the very last ones, in 1968/69.
