Try looking on Craigslist.org- I be there will eventually be a treadle for cheap, or post a Want ad there. I don't think a FW can be adapted for treadling, but someone here may have done it. Can you have a replacement board top cutout for the FW made for the treadle? Shouldn't be hard or expensive. A kitchen cabinetry store might have a wood countertop scrap and do this for minimal $$ if you take a treadle cabinet to them so they can match the contours and still be able to close the treadle top. You won't be able to attach the FW to fold down into the cabinet. Perhaps someone with a FW card table can post the cutout dimensions. Or- if you just have treadle irons just have a top made. Around here folks add a piece of butcher block or granite and try to get $250! You might find a cheap or free small table that you can take the legs off and attach to the treadle base. It's nice if the irons still have the pedal attached for a bit of exercise while you sit. You'll need a support under the top to set the FW onto- maybe a few pieces of mending plate straps at the right depth. The local hardware store can tell you how to attach them at the right depth so your FW will fit flush to the surface. Another possibility- does a local school still have a shop class? They may be looking for an unusual project for a small donation. Good luck!

Ollie .... it sounds like you want a machine to put in a treadle base that you already have. Instead of adapting your featherweight to the treadle ... look for a treadle machine head to fit your base. There are PLENTY of machine heads around .... craigslist.com, ebay.com and also look through auctions in your area. If your treadle cabinet is a Singer - so much the easier as they are by far the easiest to find, but others can be adapted as well.
