Took the day off last Thursday and took a road trip with my gd (it isn't all bad that I can't make her go home :-). Picked up a "perfect" FW. Looks like she just came out of the box (which, by the way, wasn't perfect . . . and smelly too).

Don't know her history. The lady got her at an auction for her mother because she took her mother's 1938 FW and decided to replace it with the 47-48 model. Her mom didn't want it so the lady put it on CL to get her money back.

Got her home and tried to sew. No go. Did the regular maintenance stuff and found that her needle was in backwards. Fixed the needle and off she went!

Now I have triplets! Still looking for one with the fancy faceplace.

Now I'm eating mac and cheese till payday.

I bought a Featherweight on Ebay for a very good price. All that was wrong with it too was the needle was in backwards. Amazing how often that happens.
