Default I Want To Be FREE!

I don't know what it is that I have about The Free Sewing Machine Company. I'm continually attracted to their machines. I just picked up a pretty APARTMENT machine by FREE on Ebay. The finish needs improving, but the decals are nice and I love the name. I hope it can sew.

so you'll be one of those that I'll be bidding against!! ;-) I've gotten partial to New Homes, Eldredges and National and Davis. Free too, of course. I always liked what was less popular, ....like Studebakers, Ramblers, etc.

Thanks! There's some very unusual threading going on with this machine. The "3 peaks" at the top of the head are unique to me. Anyone else know much about the APARTMENT?

Ahhh...thanks. There's also a cute, springy thing on the side of the machine. I assume that's for tension also.

not quite correct on the face threading If you push the long spring until it enters the bent 1/2 circle of metal THEN attach the string. Like so..
