I have solved the problem of the cable length, looped up the extra length and clamped it. I have checked this thing all over to find something else except the cable to hold the head in position but im having no luck. I was thinking of putting in some type of little bracket that i could turn once the head was up to help support it. redbugsullivan I cant get the pics on ISMACS to load, thats where I figured the date out from. I called the 800 number today but they couldnt help beyond what was already posted on there. I would greatly appreicate any pics you have! I had never seen a treadle in person before I bought mine and havent had a chance to see anymore. Btw I love your signature!

Wow I can post! I have this machine! I also have a manual, old and not in good shape, I could photo copy for you. PM me. I never know when I'm able to post reply again. Dee
