Default Interesting video clip

I find the paint job too busy for me and too dark but it was fascinating to watch and she did a very nice job. I loved how the interior of the lid glowed with the lighter blue. Enjoy.

I liked it. I wasn't too impressed at first but by the time she was done adding all the little details it was pretty neat. If you can do it, why not?

I wonder if that is a working sewing machine ....I think she is just trying to sell her how to technique to sewists......or as an idea to sell finished product to those who know might want one.......just like s/m lamps, mailboxes..

Nope, don't care for it. I think it would create drag on the quilt during FMQ.

I've seen her use this machine while doing a demo on another video. In my own personal opinion, I would not be able to focus on my work if my machine looked like this. She is very talented but I would prefer to paint something else like a storage box or shelf. Not my machine. Just me!

She seems to be a pretty smart person, I bet she clear coated it and then probably waxed the bed to make it slippery smooth.

Sealed and the waxed is my guess. It is probably the new oils that dry right away or maybe acrylic. I imagine she would need to reseal and rewax the bed once or twice a year if using the machine a lot. It could easily be done and for someone that really loves sewing on their customized painted machine that wouldn't be a problem.

I am going to paint several of my machines and my old typewriter. They will have a few decorations but not much because I want to concentrate too. LOL

She is definitely talented but I think the design and added sparkles on the flatbed are a little overwhelming.
Bernina has put out machines like the "White Pearl" (actually an Activa 230) that have been painted/decorated by an artist and signed- made 3300 of them - a friend has one -the painting isn't as "busy" - don't know if each was "hand done" or printed by manufacturer - design/paint is not on surface.
