Default I've done it again - Singer 403A

I can't believe I did it again. Okay, yes I can. I saw this little lady at Goodwill and she was calling my name.

She doesn't have a cord or foot pedal, but I have one for my 401A and it should work. Everything seems to move freely, and she really is that dirty. At $75 she cost more than any machine I have ever bought before. The cabinet was included, but it was really cheap pressboard and a mess. I told them they could keep the cabinet, but I took everything that was inside.

Besides the buttonholer, there is an entire shoebox of old and new zippers, a grocery bag full of old and new thread, and lots of other bits and pieces. I threw away another whole bag of old elastic pieces. Now I just have to break the news to hubby.

The 403 is my favorite Singer Slant-O-Matic. I think you will like that one a lot. It is simple use and easy to maintain.

Nice find! It is a very nice machine, and will all the "extras" it's a pretty good deal.

Miriam do you like the 401 better than the 403?

Okay, I meant to ask if you like the 403 better than the 401!

I like the 403 much better. There is a thread from awhile ago I started on the differences between the 500 and the 503: http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...s-t160607.html
The 403 and the 401 will have the same differences.

Thanks miriam! I don't have any cams for the 403, so I will have to keep my eyes peeled for those.
