I don't know about the Singer, but I just purchased the new Janome Horizon 7700 and the bed is 15 inches, I think it is the largest out there right now. That company has a deal going right now , that if you bring in a machine they give you $1000 off on the new machine. I bought 2 machines on the same day, one from the thrift store for $10 and one from the Janome dealer for $1999 plus tax. Counldn't turn that down , since my machine in use is 14 years old. You might want to check it out.

Try visiting this site: http://pages.suddenlink.net/joyof301s/index.htm for all kinds of interesting facts about our 301's. I just got a LBOW short bed and was thrilled to find this info.

OH, so glad to get this website. I have a black shortbed, but to be honest, I've never sewed on it. I need to get her out, get her cleaned and oiled up and take off. I think she's SEW pretty!
