Default Kangaroo Sewing Machine Co

I just purchased a handcrank sewing machine made by the Kangaroo Sewing Machine Co but I can't find any information on her. I would appreciate any help finding a new manual. The one that you see is all stuck together. I can't turn all the pages because they will tear. Only a few pages work. She does us a standard round bobbin - no shuttles. Enjoy looking at her. She is a beauty! and she just purrs when I turn her handle to sew. She is so smooth. The tag said $95 but I got her for $75. The man said his sister in law was a missionary who bought this in Belize. She even used it on a sail boat. I do not know how old she is. Wish she could talk and tell us some stories.

Lovely! The decals remind me of the Singer decals on machines made for India- I wonder if it's a clone or actually made by Singer?

This looks very much like the one that I purchased. After a lot of research, I found out that mine was made by Singer but it is reproduction 15 clone. It is a hand crank too as there is still a market in some countries for machines that can stitch without electricity. I am still looking for a manual too.

Is there a JA number embossed on the dark underside? I see it is a Deluxe machine. Made in Japan? Perhaps. If I had seen it it would have hopped right home with me. I can always make room for a machine in a case.

Dairy Farmwife,

That is a recently made HA-1 / 15 clone. Perhaps India or China. It's a close copy of the Singer Mdl 15 with some embelishments.
You can get generic manuals for it at Sew-Classic and other places. They are very simple machines.

Here is a link to Singer of India and some of the machines they make:
{ http://www.singerindia.net/Straight_Stich.aspx?id=1 }
You can see they are clearly marked "Singer". That is why I do not believe the Kangaroo you have is a Singer.
