Default Kenmore C877.701

I've just been given this Machine. I don't have an instruction or know anything about it. I understand it is a Canadian Machine, maybe a Singer. I have tried every source on the Internet but no luck. I'm desperate Please help. I could post a picture to this site if someone tells me how. Thanks so much.

It's a Kenmore, not a Singer ;- )

No need to despair, you will figure out how to use it by general advice. I looked up your model, but could not find anything right away. Play around with the machine try to identify which of the knobs controling what; stitch length, stitch width, needle position (left middle right), some machines have a good selection of stitch patterns. This is a good general start if you need the very basics, the video is not exactly the same model, but much the same functions will be on your machine. The game is to discover the functions, even thought the knobs and levers are a bit different. For threading; place a spool of thread on the spool pin, aim for the tensioner (knob with numbered dial), look for thread guides and hooks along the way, then aim for the take-up-arm, still looking for guides and hooks along the way, then for the needle.

I'm sure a suitable manual will turn up, if not exactly your model at least cose enough to show the main functions.

Default Posting a photo

If you start the thead, then you are in the "go advanced" screen. If you are replying to someone else's thread, then you have to click on "go advanced" button at the bottom of the page.

If you want to add a photo, you want to add an "attachment". So, go down to "manage attachments" and click on that. A small screen pops up. On that screen, go to "upload files from your computer" and click on "browse".

When you click on "browse" your computer will come up. Maneuver to the place on your computer where the photo file is located. When you find the file you want to post, click "open" at the bottom of that page. The file name will come up in next to the place you clicked "browse". Click "upload". Once it's uploaded, the file name will move down about 2 lines.

At that point, click on "preview post" and see what your post will look like.

Read through this, print it out and follow the prompts - piece of cake. One caveat though, the photo will appear wherever your cursor was when you started the process. So move your cursor where you want the photo to appear. You can add several photos, just keep clicking on browse.

I checked the model number here http://www.searspartsdirect.com/part...t/user-manuals but had no luck. Usually there are more numbers after the period so you might want to double check the number and try again. There's also an 800 number you can call for help.
