Default loud clone Cinderella.

Hi my Cinderella is very loud and and getting louder. I've oiled and lubed but I must be missing something somewhere. Any suggestions please? I really really don't want it to break!! It remains my best birthday present ever!

Ok so where is she loud? Is it her motor that is loud or something inside on top or is it in her bobbin area? What kind of noise is she making? I have an Alden - a 15 clone 3/4 size - not as cute as yours though.

More details please! Does it sound like the motor is straining, or is it more of a banging or clunking noise?

It's a banging noise near the hand wheel. If you hold your hand on the flowers above the stitch length lever you can feel it. I took the housing?(the decorative shell) off and there is some slack in vertical rod where it connects to the shaft. I can't find anything to tighten although there a several small holes they don't seem to be threaded. I don't have any reliable sewing machine mechanics near me. Any Ideas?

is the stitch regulator intact - it looks like is... so it does it when you hand turn it?

Small holes without threads sound like oil holes.

Yes the stitch regulator works just fine. I sewed a small quilt top of Churn dash blocks alternated with Shoo-fly. I will quilt it once I finish learning FMQ. I started practicing on Cinderella but now I'm scared to mess her up. Granny insisted on giving me her old Sew Master when she overheard my crying about Cinderella to my brother. He is a fairly good general mechanic. So now I'm learning the Sew Master but I miss Cinderella!!! I cannot get the bottom stitch on my Kenmore to look right doing FMQ on it. It looks like a spider got tangled in it. Phooeey! Cinderella's FMQ was perfect! Even if I couldn't drive it right. Thankyou all for letting me rant and for the Intellegant questions and suggestions! Thankyou for the PM Elliot! Any and all help much appreciated!!
