Aaagh! Just seen how much it sold for! I've said it before - you are all on the wrong side of the Atlantic.

Twinkie - I think your machine is much more beautiful.

I've been offered a second chance at this treadle. My DH says I need to find out if it's worth the $175.00 since we have to go 300 miles to pick up.
What do you think? He says he's worried they had someone bid up the machine for them. He had only said we could afford $100.00 & I bid higher. He told me he values the vintage groups opinion & since you have one like it I thought I'd ask.
Thanks for listening.

Pokey,
There's one like this at a thrift store near me for $95. It's been there for several weeks (last time I was there, it was $125).

One thing that sends up red flags to me in all the pictures is the fabric around the arm. On the one in the thrift store had missing decal in that exact same spot. Looked like someone stuck a wax strip on it and riiiiiipped it off! I wonder if the one on ebay is the same way and they are covering it?

Good luck!

I just got good news -- we talked to the person who has the machine & she told us this was in her family since it was new & her Dad had left it w/ her 30 yrs. ago. At this point she just wants it out SOOO-- she'll let us have it for the $75.00 we had seen it for on CL 1st. We're to pick it up on Monday or Tuesday.
