I may get dissed . those dissing did not read what I said,

no time did i say do this or that I would do it, it's a done deal by an owner that wanted to do with there machine,

The 90% was that those many would want top have that in there home.

I went on to say they did a nice job with the base, he or she did a nice job. I'm willing to bet it will sell higher than a fully usable machine of the same type in denver.

But then I think a Yugo is a classic car

I’m still in the “it’s their machine - they can do whatever they want with it” camp.

Me too, but it still makes me kinda sad that someone would WANT to do that.

Might still be useable, if the lamp parts were removed. I doubt that they went through the trouble of removing the "driveshaft".

I feel the same way when I see classic cars getting smashed up in TV/movies.

I've been thinking on that too. If they used a one piece conduit for the lamp support and wiring they would have had to drill right through the center of the main shaft. How much damage would that have done to it? Even if they centered the hole through the shaft it would weaken it tremendously.

The top tension is missing some parts too, and who knows what parts are missing from under the bed.

Seriously, I think they totaled that nice old redeye.

Strangely, it doesn't offend me. I don't even think it's in poor taste. What is this numbness?

It's right up there with making a sewing machine look like a farm tractor. Kind of cute, but it still makes me wince.

At least if someone really does use them as a boat anchor, they don't have to be seen.
