This person may not have rushed in a burning building to save someone, however, I still consider him and others like him, heroes for what they don't have to do, but still do.

I think we should all share our skills. I continue to teach and to give away quilted items.

I once saw a barber who once a month would take a stool and cutting tools and set up shop in a public park. Many of his monthly customers were street people who seemed to like the pampering.

Similar thought: Our ladies group at the church were discussing outreach when I recalled an interview of a young man on Jeopardy. He related that he was a collector of brassiers (bras) . He added that a family member was involved in women rescue who relied on donations of clothing. Clothing but no undergarments. Thus his collection. -- We have a church member who works for the Abuse Center and we are gong to have her list items we can collect and donate and I am sure there were will be bras.

I've seen this before too. Still, it's a very cool story and worth sharing again.
