Jeanette,

Minnesota sewing machines were made by at least 5 different makers and Minnesota A by 3. Best to share a photo with shuttle supplier to make sure you both have the same Minnesota A or else it's a coin toss whether you get the right one. Here's an article on Minnesota machines which were sold by Sears:

Sears started out in Minnesota - one of the reasons they used that Name on the machines. They used a lot of names before they decided to use Kenmore and stick with that. Wards did the same and then finally settled on Signature for the brand name.

BTW - Sears gets credit for putting more than one Sewing Machine manufacture under - by switching to a different manufacturer.

Minnesota B was only made by Davis. ASSUMING Jeanette's Minnesota A is also Davis and NOT Domestic the shuttle would work. Slightly confusing.

Well, good news! I finally got the pictures I took with my cousin's camera. Like an idiot, I forgot to take mine when we went to her house. I have attached the photos. It's a Minnesota Model A in a Tiger Oak cabinet with ram's head pulls. It's really in sad shape right now. But, I think with my help and my son's help, we can restore it as much as
possible. The paint is so chipped that a total restore is going to be necessary.

Wow, That's a project! I can't read the serial number but this model (Davis E) was made between 1900-1910. Here's a manual for a Burdick which later became the Minnesota B which is similar to the Minnesota A:

I believe I have parts for a Minnesota A as well as the shuttle, I'll need to check tomorrow. I ordered them off of eBay thinking the pretty shiny wheel would fit my Minnesota B. It didn't. The wheel came with a bunch of various misc. bits and pieces that may be useful. I'll post some pics of them in the AM.

Yes, thank you very much! The closest manual I had was for a Singer VS1.
