Depends on which model you have, but Kenmore parts are still fairly plentiful. The bobbin case might be easy to find, so if you can post the model # and perhaps a photo of the machine and bobbin area it would help. You might also search for the manual and hopefully find a free version, or I'm sure someone has one and could give you information. The older Kenmores are virtually indestructible.

I talked to a shop in Phoenix and the ache takes a 15 class bobbin case that is common in all older machines. I had a older machine I was not using and the bobbin case fit. I old the machine and got it running. Why I gave it away I don't know, it is all metal and will probably go forever. I am glad I got it back.

Sew-Classic.com probably has just what you need. Look on their website. You can also call Jenny there. Her prices are very good.

We are moving, again, and I think I have one along with some bobbins. If you still need it, let me know.
