Default Montgomery Wards VS

I recently got this MW vs portable on a fluke. It has the slides and came with three bobbins. I hadn't seen one before. Then I saw another for sale that looked very similar except it has a dog tag like a Singer 27. Is anyone using one of these? thanks

I've seen similar here and elsewhere - http://www.doubleveil.net/zssmp/reversew.htm That page lists some other names similar machines went by. I don't know if he still has any of them.

I think the other one that has the needle bar inspection plate might be National_Expert_B_T_.

Nice National made machine. I've got one like it, but I have a soft spot for earlier MW machines.

Some manage to find their way around long bobbin machines, and I guess that's the only thing preventing them from being used. It can be a bit cumersome to find extra bobbins for some of the older machines, since they aren't all the same as a Singer 128. Yours looks like it will clean up very nicely. Is it a model R? (I did a quick web search).
