Yep that is right I am going to do a few more for you guys to help you with your restorations. It might take a few days but I will cover a few different areas of the restoration.

The first one I am going to do is "Electrolysis Cleaning" this will show you how to use simple things around your home to clean the plated parts that might be seriously rusted. And it is an environmentally safe method!!!

The second one I am going to do is rewiring a machine start to finish. I will show what to look for and how to fix the problem and have a safe machine to use. Remember these machines are not grounded and you are the ground. So if it is not up to standards then the chances of a trip to the hospital if you that lucky will be in order.

There will of course be more coming, I have been asked to do one for the internal geared machines (500A is one of them) and there will be more.

Thank you for saying that, I try my best to relay whats in my mind to the keyboard. It will take a bit for the electrolysis tute because of the time it takes to do the cleaning but there will be plenty of photos and I think you guys will love it. It makes life so much easier to clean the parts this way.

Billy,
I have a 66-15 made in Aug. 1940. It was originally a treadle my father converted to electric. Wiring is shot, is it hard convert back to treadle?

Very easy to do, all you have to do is take everything electrical off of the machine and you sit it back into the treadle put a belt on and your back in business. Its really funny how everyone was trying to make the machines all modern and now we are trying to get them back to their roots!

If you need any help just PM me and I can walk you through it.

I knew there was a reason I put off cleaning my machine! Thanks Billy. I am looking forward to the re-wiring tut also. I have 2 old machines that I am afraid to even try because I don't know about the wiring.
