Morse Fotomatic Sewing Machine
I recently purchased a Morse Fotomatic machine (the original Fotomatic, not the III, IV etc) on shop Goodwill online. Does anyone own a Morse and more specifically a Fotomatic? It came with no accessories, a dead light bulb which is approximately 2 1/2" which I haven't been able to find but the machine did run when I plugged it in. Information on Morse machines is very scanty on the internet and especially for the Fotomatic.

Well the first thing I did was to see if it worked it did and i noticed the light bulb. Today I decided to sew on it so I went to thread the bobbin and the bobbin case is missing. Ebay lists several, including ones for your models but none say just for the Fotomatic. I'm guessing that the bobbin case is one of the parts that is standardized across the Morse ZZ machines and if I buy one that fits the Fotomatic 4300, 4400 Fotomatics then it should fit the standard Fotomatic. your thoughts?

not only is it standardized for Fotomatic - but just about any Japanese Domestic use machine made in that time frame. And in fact currently used in brand new machines. Don't need to get one off eBay -you can order a brand new one from Sew Classic, or possible pick one up at any sewing machine shop.
It is probably the most common bobbin case out there. BTW - I have a Fotomatic IV

Can you post a picture of it? Is it a bluish color? I believe my Fotomatic is also an original one. I could send you a copy of the manual if you want.
