Default My New Featherweight

Well I finally got one!!!. It is not the best but it will do for me. I cleaned it up pretty good. It was in bad need of it and new grease on gears. I am having a little trouble with it but might have the problem solved. If not I will be back with questions. I am posting a couple of Pic and hope someone can tell me a little about it. I am new to these. Had to download some info to know how to thread it and insert the bobbin. I haven't tried to wind a bobbin yet, wish me luck, lol..I found one today that was in great shape but it was about $200.00 more than what I paid. I figured I could do with out the case and manual. It also had some attachments too. I need bobbins and probably a few more things, lol...would also like to get some new feed dogs if I can. Well just had to share this with you all. Doing the happy dance

Congratulations on your Featherweight. I do love mine. Just keep it well oiled and you should have no problems. I did take one of mine in to have it serviced so that it was properly greased and have the motor checked, all was in working order and been wonderful to use. You really don't need the case, they usually smell funny due to the original glue.

Enjoy your Fw---they are such jewels! A little wear just shows a lot of sewing and love! I don't store mine in the case---I want it where I can see and enjoy it!

Yay!! Louise is very nice!! I'm so glad you were able to get her!

Why are you wanting to change out the feed dogs?
