Default Elna No. 1 power cord

Hello,

I am looking for a power cord for an Elna No. 1 (Grasshopper).

Does anyone know if it's still possible to get these and where I might get one from? I am in the UK but I don't mind where I source one from.

Here's a picture of what the socket looks like.

Many online sites have them. http://www.sewingpartsonline.com/ is just one, you can also try Sew Classic. I don't know if they'll ship out of the U.S.

When I was a girl we used to drive my Mom crazy using her sewing cord as an extension cord. That is the same cord we would run off with all the time. Plain extension cord, so if necessary you might be able to make one.

Thank you for the help. The leads in the US are for a different voltage than my UK machine. I don't know if this matters with the lead or not?

If it makes no difference I can get one from the US and then change the wall socket plug to a UK one, if it does make a difference then I can maybe just take off the socket that plugs into the machine and rewire it the rest of it? First I will contact Elna.com and see what they say.

All I have to do now is to wait for the machine to arrive from ebay and hope it gets here in one piece!! I have asked for it to be dispatched after Christmas so it wouldn't get caught up in the Christmas post.

Happy holidays!
