Ok, to assuage my heartbreak after mucking up my sweet Zilla, I went out and bought this little Royal for nothing. It is missing some parts, but the guy is going to see if they are laying around. But he doesn't have the controller. I have no idea if it is even possible to find any parts for this, but maybe I will treadle this one! What do y'all know about this machine? It is stamped made in occupied Japan. It reminds me of a 99k. It does have a serial number...whatever good that does, lol.

I don't know anything about it, but I like the looks of it! The Deco-ish lines of the face plate are quite zingy!

not as common as 15 clones, but there are some clones of the 66/99 genre, looks like maybe that's what you've found.
Sure is in nice shape! The basics apply as far as getting it wired up, generic 2 wire foot control, etc. Looks like maybe you have two AC plugs for motor and light. That's the common setup and a standard cord, foot control, wiring block from somewhere such as Sew-Classic or other online source, or even another thrift store.

You have a 99K Clone. It's a 3/4 size machine and as such won't fit in the same treadle as your 66. These machines are wonderful sewers. And they are well worth the cost to redo the electrical cords and controller.
If the seller doesn't have the parts, Sew-Classic does and they are easy to install.

Check the head to see weather it's iron or aluminum. If it's aluminum it makes a really dandy take along machine. Mine is a SEWMOR aluminum version and in it's case with all it's accessories weighs less than a complete FeatherWeight.

she is cast iron. But still not too heavy. Yay, nice to hear the positive comments! I actually misspoke in my OP. I meant Hand Crank. But maybe I should fix up the electrical. Happy to hear I can get the wiring block, etc. I thought I might be able to. I am not having high hopes that the guy will find any of the missing parts...he listed it as running great, lol! No way could he have run it or used it in its current condition. But I only paid $5 so figure can afford to put a bit into her. Do you think a slide plate for a 99 will work on this machine? I assume a 99 case will. I measured and they are pretty much identical.

Yes a 99 slide plate will work. I had to replace the one on my SEWMOR and I got it from Sew-Classic.

A 99 case or any 3/4 size Singer case will also work.
